Keventer Group Chairman and Managing Director Mayank Jalan has highlighted the potential of food processing and FMCG to create employment and position West Bengal as a food processing hub for eastern and northeastern India, ahead of the state’s proposed new industrial policy announcement.

He called for transparent land allotment, reliable and affordable power for cold-chain infrastructure, ready-to-use facilities in food parks and time-bound single-window clearances. Highlighting the electricity needs of cold-chain operations, he also sought consideration of electricity tariff relief or subsidies. His views have received coverage across leading news publications.
