Kolkata-Style Malabar Paratha Kathi Rolls

Just grab one with your favourite filling as you hop from one pandal to another. Now, you can also make your favourite Kolkata Kathi Rolls at home with ready to cook Keventer Malabar Parathas. Popularly known as 'Kerala Paratha', this flatbread has its origin in the Malabar region of Southern India. Just open the packet, roast the parathas on a pan and fill them with your favourite veg or non-veg fillings and roll them up into your favourite crispy, yummy roll in minutes! Ingredients

  • 1 pack of Keventer Ready to Cook Malabar Paratha
  • 2 tbsp ghee/ oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 400 gms paneer
  • 2 tsp chilli powder
  • 1 tbsp chaat masala
  • ¼ cup mustard oil
  • 2 nos slit green chilli
  • ¾ tsp turmeric
  • 1 cup Metro Dahi
  • ½ tsp garam masala
  • ½ capsicum
  • ½ cup coriander leaves
  • 2 tsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1 lemon
  • ½ cup sliced onion

How to make Kolkata-Style Malabar Paratha Kathi Rolls

To prepare the Malabar Parathas for your Kathi Roll

  • 1

    Remove the Keventer Malabar Parathas from the pack and place one paratha on a pre-heated non-stick pan and heat on medium flame turning sides every 30 seconds.

    Add 1 tsp of ghee/ butter / oil in the pan and keep pressing the paratha gently while heating. Heat for 3 mins or until both surfaces turn golden brown.

    Now repeat this for all the parathas and keep them aside once done

For the Paneer filling:

    Cut the paneer into dices and marinate them with curd, salt, chilli powder and chaat masala and keep aside for 10 mins

    In a hot pan, heat mustard oil, add slit green chillies, turmeric powder, fry and keep aside in a bowl

    Now in the same bowl mix Keventer Metro Dahi, salt, garam masala, coriander leaves, ginger garlic paste and lemon juice.

    Apply this marinade to the paneer dices, sliced capsicum and onion

    Heat a tawa and drizzle some ghee, add the marinated paneer and fry till light brown, and take it off the flame

    Now take the Keventer Malabar Parathas which you prepared

    Gently put the paneer mix in the middle of the paratha and roll each tightly into a wrap.
