The Keventer Group has grown from strength to strength to emerge as one of the most respected corporate enterprises in Eastern India. Our presence spans three verticals - Food Processing, Steel, and Real Estate - employing around 1,100 people across services and facilities.

While the profound vision of Edward Keventer helped plant the seed more than 127 years back, it has been nurtured and carried forward by Mr. Mahendra Kumar Jalan, a visionary himself, and his team. Mr. Jalan was already a successful entrepreneur trading in steel and structurals, when the MKJ group took over Keventer in 1984 with the objective of providing good quality of life to the people.

In today's context, Food Processing has emerged as the flagship and focal business of the Rs. 11.50 billion Keventer group. Keventer is Kolkata based, and a leader in multiple segments within the dairy and beverage industry.

We have always given tremendous importance to our quality and reputation, which has allowed us to forge partnerships with some of India’s most respected corporate houses - Parle Agro (Frooti, Appy and Bailley) Tata Housing (realty), ITC (noodle manufacturing), and GFA (Coffee World and Cream & Fudge).

Having put into place the whole supply chain from farm to fork, Keventer is now an integrated, growing network. It links seeds, clones and saplings to cultivated fruits, vegetables and milk, using the best of related high-end technology. The product basket spans processed foods, confections, snacks and fast foods, milk and dairy products, fresh fruits, pulps and juices.

An early tagline for the company, 'Processing the Future' was a declaration of intent as much as the description of a work in progress. It remains its strategic differentiator even today, underlining the fact that Keventer wishes to build upon its leadership in the Food Processing space by steadily expanding its basket of products and impacting the lives of millions of consumers.
